According to the report, the above statistics come from the annual food safety report released by the German Federal Consumer Protection and Food Safety Authority (BVL) on November 12. In the past year, the department has applied plasticizers to 333 lacquered wooden toys and 143 medium-colored pens, especially for the detection of dangerous phate (Phthalates) content. .

In addition, inspectors also found that metal models and building block toys have problems with excessive nickel content. In 87% of the building blocks, the nickel content exceeds the legally prescribed standard, and 1/4 of the 168 metal toys tested have exceeded the nickel content.
